Cary Citronberg draws on over a decade of criminal and civil forfeiture practice in state and federal courts. He is considered an expert in laws related to child pornography and solicitation of minors, having obtained dismissals and some of the lowest sentences in the United States. He is also known for his work defending clients in high-profile cases involving terrorism, espionage, weapons procurement fraud, and money laundering for the drug cartels.
Cary has been recognized by the Washingtonian as one of the top 50 criminal defense lawyers in the metropolitan D.C. area every year since 2018, has been selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers every year since 2016, and has been recognized by the U.S. News publication “Best Lawyers” every year since 2019.
Cary received his law degree with honors from Georgetown University. Prior to law school, he received a Bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics from Northwestern University, as well as an International Diploma, with honors, from the Institute of Political Science in Paris.
