The case involved allegations that the retailer unlawfully avoided a substantial amount of anti-dumping duties on wooden bedroom furniture from China. The retailer paid $15 million to resolve the whistleblower claim.

After the “not guilty” verdicts in the criminal case, we also won a civil forfeiture jury trial for this client so he could get his property back after the government seized it.
